Geriatrics is a specialty that focuses on health care of elderly people.It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in  older adults.  Its main objective is the prevention and achievement of a funtional recovery so the patients can be independent  and autonomus, making thier lives easier and this facilitate to stay in their homes and usual environment.
